Hey guys!

So my life has been a whirlwind of ridiculousness over the last month, and it's probably going to be just as crazy until early December rolls around.  For one thing, I started my student teaching--which is cool, except that I don't get paid for it.  That's right, I do all the work of a teacher and get NONE OF THE MONEY and it's totally legal because I'm technically a "student."  HAH!  On the plus side, come December, I should have my Master's of Education, and I can find a real, salaried job with things like BENEFITS!

I also moved in with my boyfriend of over a year (!!!) and have been trying to settle in.  The house is still full of boxes, but I'm chipping away at them slowly.  Most of my art supplies are still packed, but I'll find them someday!  I also need to go get my car inspected tomorrow so I can register it in Maryland...and I'm not going to lie, I'm worried.  It's a 130-point, 90-minute inspection.  On a car that has 175,000 miles on it.  I passed my Virginia inspection just fine back in March, but I feel like they're probably going to find at least one thing wrong tomorrow.  My only hope is that it's not expensive to fix.  Remember that whole not-getting-paid thing?  Yeah.  Scary times.

The point being that, while I still check the dA daily, odds are that updates are going to be extremely infrequent on my end until the student teaching experience is done.  And then...well, we shall see :)

Around the internet I'm known either as Trinity or, more frequently these days, Aoichou. I'm living at home and working as a part-time nanny while going to graduate school to become a secondary English teacher. I'm also kind of left-wing, so don't say anything too conservative in front of me :P

I love drawing in my spare time, though I do it far too infrequently. I'm a fan of anime and manga, though I've got a lot more depth than breadth in terms of what I know. I prefer to draw in the anime style, though I've experimented with other things too (most of which don't make it onto the dA). I love all kinds of art, from writing to drawing to singing, and that's why I'm here. I appreciate any and all comments so long as they are not destructive.

Secret Santa: Sailornashira by Aoichou
Secret Santa: Sailornashira
First things first--I apologize for lateness!  Lots of things have been happening in my life (many unexpected) and it's taken me awhile to actually get stuff done--including this, my Secret Santa gift for :iconsakkysa:'s 2014 Secret Santa!  But now it's done!  And it's even uploaded and touched up!

I was assigned :iconwildnature03:'s Sailornashira, a soldier of luck, whome you can see here:

SMVillage - Sailor Nashira Reference Sheet by Wildnature03

I LOVE the design for this character, especially her princess form!  I tried to maintain her cheerful demeanor and to match the colors as best I could with what I had (I know her hair is too blonde, which is a testament to why you always always ALWAYS test a group of colors AND LET THEM DRY before you put them in the final drawing; also, the brown in her skirt and collar is much darker and richer IRL, but y'all know how scanners are).  I'm quite pleased with the way the braids came out--braids are typically tricky for me and these were especially hard the way I drew them moving/floating.  I'm also glad her head finally worked out; if you saw the sketch, the head has been erased and redrawn so many times I was worried the paper was going to tear because for whatever reason I just could not get the proportions and physics right x_X;

I hope you like it, Wildnature03!!  Merry belated Christmas!
