Birth of a Soldier

I finished it!  This is my entry for 's first event, depicting my OC, Sailortranquillitatis, in her human/princess form, as she is first awakened by Queen Serenity at the (human) age of 13. 

I promise that the contrast between the shades of green is not as blinding in real life.  I was trying to adjust the colors so that you could really see the yellow background, but in the process it sort of screwed up the green.  Oh well.  At least you can tell where the light source is, LOL!  Otherwise, the colors came out pretty nicely.  And her hair worked!  IT WORKED!  I was so worried I wouldn't be able to make it look right...

The costume is influenced by a combination of traditional Chinese and Korean clothing, with a mix of a ton of eras and dynasties.  I tried to keep the influence primarily Chinese, but the Korean clothing is just so pretty too *drool*.

PS:  Having the Proplica Moon Stick was invaluable for figuring out details for this picture.  THANK YOU PROPLICA, I LOVE YOOOOU!
